This large, minimalist Essex home started out life in the 1980s as a mock Georgian property. The client was seeking a much more contemporary feel with clean lines and open or connecting spaces. The mock mouldings, pillars and stone lions were banished; the entrance hall, dining room and living room knocked through into a single space, now with a much grander, free-flowing feel and bags of personality. The gallery-style base palette has now been accented with bold statements and bespoke features and finishes.
